About the Cabinetmaking ELT Program:
This is a full-time 25 week program.
NOTE: Just to be clear, this is not a Cabinetmaking AND Carpentry combined program. This is a Cabinetmaking only ELT program.
Though this program is not an apprenticeship, if successful, you will leave with ITA recognised Levels 1 that can be applied to a Cabinetmaking Apprenticeship in British Columbia.
The Cabinetmaking ELT program encompasses all woodworking skills required for a solid foundation in the woodworking industry. This program is not only available to people in British Columbia, but is open to English speaking folks from anywhere in the world.
Our well equipped facilities are located in heart of Wine Country, the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. The Campus is in Kelowna BC and is just two blocks from Lake Okanagan. Kelowna and the entire region is one of Canada's foremost vacation destinations. Including student dormitories, there are a range of accommodations available near the campus.
Though this program is not an apprenticeship, if successful, you will leave with ITA recognized Level 1 that can be applied to a Cabinetmaking Apprenticeship. You would then be able to enter Apprenticeship Cabinetmaking Year 2.
Though prior workworking experience is a bonus, it is not a requirement. If you have a passion for wood working, or just want to get a feel for this trade, this is the place.
